Run with passion by Julia, our kitchen is dedicated to a true farm-to-table philosophy. It’s a tactile, textural, family-run ecosystem where a cold pint and an incredible meal don't just complement each other, they live under the same roof.
We work hand-in-hand with the local Wakkerstroom community and our own smallholding to source the freshest, most vibrant produce possible. The Taphouse is designed as a warm, quaint restaurant where hearty, elevated country cooking that feeds the soul and makes the drive out here entirely worth it, comes to life.
Right there, fully integrated into the dining space, are Paul’s gleaming copper brewing tanks, creating an incredibly special connection between the kitchen, the brewery, and your plate. It’s comforting, it’s noisy with laughter, and it feels like a giant country hug.

Because our kitchen is seasonal and relies on what our local suppliers harvest each week, we don't have a set menu. One week you might be digging into a slow-braised beef pot pie rich with Paul's stout; the next, a bright, crisp summer salad bursting with freshly picked garden herbs and local cheeses.
